Camping in Algonquin Park

So I recently got back from my 4 day 3 night camping trip in algonquin park and I am so happy with my camping chair!

I carry a therma-rest mattress with me. It is light and very easy to use. The main idea of it is to sleep on but I found a cool tool that turns it into a chair!

The therma-rest chair cover is the ultimate when you need a lightweight, comfortable chair. It is very easy to set up, quick drying, and a bargain when you need it. It is perfect for sitting by the lake after a long day of hiking or canoeing and just relaxing.

Because of it’s shape it is very comfortable and can be adjusted for reclining. My dad and I use them religiously and sit in them most of the time when we are making dinner or lounging before bed.

I will post some pictures later, when I have them uploaded. The chair is easy to set up but one downside is how low it is. It obviously doesn’t have legs or anything like that so you are right on the ground, so standing up is a difficult process. Especially after a long day of exercise.

The therma-rest chair is the best for lightweight camping around and I always recommend it to anyone looking for comfort in the middle of the bush.

Hammocks

Hammocks come in many different sizes but only one shape!

The pros

Hammocks have the most ingenious system and, though not much to look at, are quite comfortable. Relaxing in a hammock can help relieve that pressure and stress of the office, and can open you up to the beauty of nature.  Laying in a hammock can help to relieve many types of pain but most importantly, many forms of back pain. The subtle contour it has with your back helps relieve ache muscles and stress induced nerves.

In terms of camping, nothing compares to the quite and calm feeling once gets from relaxing in a comfortable hammock as it swings back and forth, gently rocking you to a peaceful state.

lightweight, and very easy to install, the hammock offers a escape from everyday relaxation and welcomes you into a world of total pleasure. Just one try will convince you that, not only do you need one, but everyone in your family needs one too.  But don’t worry because even five hammocks don’t add up to as much space as a normal folding chair.  This is due to it’s simple, but effective frame.

Installation

Installation is a snap and within three minutes you can be on your way to a peaceful days rest. There are three ways in which to set up your relaxing hammock…

Trees – by trying each end of the hammock to a tree you can lay between two massive pieces of nature as the wind slowly drifts trough the leaves, creating a natural lullaby for your weathered soul.

Trailer hitches – no trees around? The hammock has you covered.  Simply purchase a stand from any retail store that sells hammocks that attaches to your trailer hitch.  These stands are very strong and can support 500 pounds between the two arms.

Stands – Traveling light? No trees or cars? Simply use the two stands that are capable of holding up to 500 pounds between them.  They require no trees or trailer hitches and can be set up anywhere.

Cons

How could there be any cons to such a beautiful invention. Simple relaxation is a breeze and everything you could want in a recliner or chair is fulfilled by a hammock. But beware if you are prone to narcolepsy or prolonged sleeping periods, because once you get in, it’s hard to leave!
